Thermal springs in Poland are underground waters that have a temperature of at least 20℃ when they emerge from the underground. Water flowing under pressure through layers of rocks deep underground accumulates a number of chemical elements contained in them, which have a positive effect on the functioning of the human organism. It is primarily calcium, but also silicon, potassium, iron, magnesium, sulfur, lithium, selenium, chromium and manganese. These elements are found in different concentrations in different places, so it is always worthwhile to choose a spring that contains the most mineral components that we need at that particular moment.
For example, calcium prevents muscle spasms. Potassium helps with sleep problems, supports the circulatory system and ensures proper blood pressure. The higher temperature of the hot springs facilitates the absorption of these elements. Thermal waters can also be helpful in the prevention of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, during convalescence and rehabilitation, they improve heart activity, remove muscle and joint pain, reduce stress and have a beneficial effect on the skin.

Gorący Potok Szaflary is a unique thermal spa and wellness center in the picturesque village of Szaflary next to the town of Nowy Targ, not far from the famous Polish resort of Zakopane. This oasis of peace and relaxation attracts visitors with its warm springs and modern wellness services in a beautiful mountain setting.
Upon entering the Gorący Potok Szaflary complex, guests find themselves in a wonderful area surrounded by the nature of the Tatras. Terma Bania is a modern thermal spa complex with great infrastructure again near the town of Zakopane, which is very popular among visitors looking for relaxation, rest and wellness. The outdoor pools of Terma Bania are surrounded by the peaks of the Tatras, providing a unique experience of swimming in the open air with a wonderful view of the mountains. The water in the pools here has a temperature of 34-38°C and springs from a depth of 2500 m. The entire Terma Bania complex is divided into 3 zones – Fun, Relax and Saunarium. In the summer, a summer swimming pool is added.
The water area of all pools in Terma Bania is 2,200 m2 in total. The relaxation zone has two covered outdoor pools with geysers, water jets, sunbeds and counter currents.
The Fun Zone is a place designed for families with lots of water attractions. There are indoor and outdoor pools, year-round slides, water playgrounds, cannons, wading pools and a pool with artificial waves.
In the Saunarium, guests can use a salt tower, a steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a salt cave, a Russian Banyu, an Old Highland sauna and a relaxation room.

Termy Chochołowskie, Tatra Mountains
Termy Chochołowskie is hidden in the heart of a picturesque Polish mountain region, not far from the famous city of Zakopane, on the Dunajec River, almost on the border with Slovakia. This spa complex is a haven of peace and relaxation for all those who desire to combine nature with the hot experience of local hot springs.
These largest thermal baths in Poland boast a total water area of 3000 m2. The water in the pools here ranges from 30°C to 36°C and springs from a depth of 3,600 m. The Chochołowskie Terme itself is a complex of 30 pools and barrels filled with thermal water with healing properties.
Here you will find two outdoor pools with an area of 638m2 and 855m2, enriched with attractions such as a pool with artificial waves, a wild river and other water features.
Indoor pools include pools with massage jets, seven smaller hot tubs and one larger hot tub. The special jacuzzi with salt water also deserves special attention.
The Chochołowskie Termy area also has several attractions dedicated to younger lovers of water fun. There are two separate areas here: a zone for small children and a zone for older children. The first of these includes a playground connected to a wading pool for children with an area of 35 square meters and a depth of only 30 centimeters. The second, children’s zone for our older children is a little more active. In it, we will find family slides and a steam bath intended for children. Bukovina thermal baths, located in Bukowina Tatrzańska, are a unique place that allows you to relax as far as possible from the hustle and bustle of big cities and everyday duties.
The water for the spa here is obtained from the northwestern slope of the Wysoki Wierch mountain from a depth of 2,400 m and has a temperature of 30℃ to 38℃. The minerals and microelements contained in this spring not only have a healing and rehabilitative effect, but are also beneficial for the skin.
Bukowina Thermal Spa is a great place to relax as well as a phenomenal travel destination for the whole family. Here you will find 20 thermal pools, both indoor and outdoor, with original names. E.g. In the very heart of the Polish state, there is a year-round complex of Termy Mszczonów, where you can take care of your health, relax and enjoy a wide range of entertainment and sports. It is the only facility in the vicinity of Warsaw that uses the beneficial effects of thermal waters.
The area is fed by a spring coming from a borehole at a depth of 1,602.5 m, which is rich in minerals that have a positive effect on the human organism.

The water here springs from a depth of over 2000m in the pools and reaches a temperature of approx. 33-35℃. And why can local thermal water be so beneficial to our health? When visiting the Uniejów thermal baths, you will definitely want to use both outdoor pools, which are open all year round and are filled not only with thermal water, but also with hydromassage jets. In addition, you can find other interesting attractions in the outdoor area during the summer. It boasts a traditional 25-meter swimming pool, slides of various sizes, a whirlpool or a wild river.
